The closing date for tickets is 1st July, 2011 this is in order that we can give final numbers to our venue for seating and menu purposes.

Tickets will be issued on receipt of your cheque (made payable to 'Whittlebury Park', only). These cheques can be 'post dated' so they clear no later than 1st July 2011.

Tickets are at present being printed and will be distributed to those that have paid as soon as possible.

Due to the size of the venue and probably the fact that there will be much 'reminscing', it is felt that this event should be restricted to 'old boys' and 'teachers' who attended the school. I hope this will not offend wifes and partners, but stories about the 'the lake', 'smoking', 'matron' 'Fret' etc etc. will probably be rather boring for them. If you are staying in the area the Whittlebury Hall Hotel (see below for accommodation) has a well advertised spa and health club. Just a suggestion !!!

When purchasing your tickets please let us have your address or e-mail address and phone number for contact purposes. Please also let us know the years you attended the school so that we can endeavour to seat contemporaries together.

For those wanting to stay, the Whittlebury Park has limited accommodation, but there is a large hotel - Whittlebury Hall Hotel, within the grounds.

Finally, and most importantly, I would ask you to tell any 'old boys' you know about the reunion and direct them to one of us for details and tickets.

Hope you are able to attend and look forward to meeting you.

Tim Gaskell

  1. Well-done for getting this together.
Personally I would have preferred a meeting in the Fox and Hounds pub, in Whittlebury, where the alchoholic masters went at lunchtime! -but this is good !
I guess that I am just upset that 'Whittlebury Hall' is not actually the ex 'Lord Southampton's residence'(which no longer exists), but is just a Golf Club !

  2. Dear All,

The second modern day Whittlebury School reunion has been arranged for Saturday 5th October 2013 at 12:00 hrs for 13:00 hrs at “The Atrium” which is part of the Whittlebury Park golf club (the same place as 2011).

Tickets are priced at £25 (twenty five pounds) per head and are available from Tony Wood or Steve Jubb; entry will be by ticket only. Your ticket will be despatched within a couple of days of receipt of your cheque made payable to Whittlebury Park. See below for details.

For this you will get a starter, main course, dessert and coffee or tea, some wine will be available on the table, but should you wish to indulge further, house red and house white are available as an extra (to be paid for on ordering) at £15.95 per bottle.
It is felt that due to limited space and the fact that all the chat, as evidenced last time, was school related, wives and partners will not be invited to the lunch. We very much appreciate that some of you may have come some distance and it would be unreasonable for you not to bring your partners along with you. We will be delighted to see your 'other halves' after the lunch if they can possibly stand it. The large hotel Whittlebury Hall in the grounds of Whittlebury Park does have Spa and Gym facilities - just a suggestion!!
Some of us, like last time will be attending the local church for the morning service, if there is one, and hopefully those that missed out on the welcome at church last time, will not do so this time. I think it would be good if we could “raise the roof” a bit for them one last time and give the village something to talk about for years to come.
